CARINE ROITFELD BREAKING BOUNDARIES
French Vogue is known as one of the more daring Vogue publications for various reasons. In only a year the magazine has managed to push buttons with the PETA after Raquel Zimmerman put a middle finger to a animal rights protester, it has depicted Lily Donaldson glamourizing bad parenthood by smoking while pregnant and literally lobbing her baby in the air, and of course the now infamous controversy that surrounded the blackfacing of Lara Stone. Its almost certain Carine Roitfeld isn't afraid to step the line when it comes to its editorial content. Whether she intended to or not.

Back in 2007, Roitfeld did however intend to feature partyboy and fashionista Andre J on her cover. And it broke a boundary. Andre being a figure who represents the bliss of being free of specific gender ideals (and the issues that come with it), the cover is still now one of a kind.
The fashion industry holds no judgement on members of the LGBT community. It simply cant. And that aside, its an industry that holds no neccesity in involving itself with the personal lives of its inhabitants. And after the recent buzz surrounding Riccardo Tisci's new transgendered model and muse Lea T being used for his campaigns and runway, it seems if their was a time to highlight her story it would be now. Heres the page from French Vogue which features Lea T in an intimate nude portrait.

Personally, I have a completely neutral feeling towards the image. When I saw it first, I thought nothing of it. I was neither moved, shocked, amazed, intrigued... It just seemed pretty much normal to me. I just thought OK of course the complexion is STUNNING. And I thought this is bound to be talked about. Its going to get mixed opinions.
Whats everyones thoughts!?
LINDSAY LOHAN 'MODEL CITIZEN' MUGSHOT BY PEN 1
Lindsay Lohan ‘Model Citizen’ mugshot sprayed on a street in North London by s treet artist PEN 1 a day before she goes to prison.
PEN 1 is a street artist with a ‘Say it like it is’ attitude . The recent mugshot image of Kate Moss holding a “Model Behaviour” board, sprayed on a wall in Shoreditch, caught both the public and media’s attention.
LILO ‘MODEL CITIZEN’ MUGSHOT
Now comes PEN 1’s Lindsay Lohan “Model Citizen,” piece, proof of his ability to react at lightening speed to media and public opinion via the immediate execution of his work, this time in a street in North London. In his characteristic ‘say it like it is’ fashion, the LiLo piece is sure to raise a few eyebrows, just as the partygirl goes to prison.
Little is known about the anonymous PEN 1 except that he can run extremely fast and will only meet up with his manager in carparks with bad light. A man of few words (the only quote he has ever given is, ‘I’d like to thank my Mum’) he leaves it up to the public and the media to voice social commentary surrounding his work.
Social, political or anti-authoritarian in implication, PEN 1 is quick to relay it and quick to spray it.
PEN 1 is exclusively signed to Beautiful Crime (who have still yet to meet him).

Hilton's High!
Heiress Hilton was all caught up between draw and the law last week, fresh out of her last marijuana scandal during the South Africa world cup.
Local reports tell us that Paris was caught "in the possession of marijuana" at an airport in Corsica.
It turned out she was in possession of less than a gram and was released within half an hour. She was taken down town but no charges were pressed due to the tiny ammount. LOLZ.
if your gonna do it, do it right!
Poor Paris!

REHAB LONDON - SKIN CARE FOR PEOPLE WHO CARE

So I was sent a whole lot of products to try out from the lovely people at Rehab London, I had never really even heard of the brand before to tell the truth however do remember seeing it at Topman Oxford circus as it's placed in the little shelves bin things by the till points as you're waiting to pay...
As my friends would know my skin is kind of lovely and it's something I don't mind spending big money on, This I stared doing when I use to work at Harrods back in the day and was introduced to a range of products from a french brand (Blue bottles with red writing) now I'm not going to say anymore about that as this is about Rehab London!!!
Anyway getting to the point I tried the products and have to say I was very surprised with the results and also price! with items ranging from £9.95-£14.95 it's value for money and will not brake the bank..
My favorite products and ones I will now be using going forward are the Scrub Up Detox and the Revive Survive these will no replace my old products and stay with me for a while I'm sure...
Over the last two years they have worked with leading scientists and dermatologists who advise them on the very best essential oils and certified organic products to use, which in turn means they can provide us with, what is simply, the best skincare range in its purest form.
So thanks Rehab London and just so you know my Scrub up Detox is close to empty... Wink Wink!

CALIFORNIA ‘78
Footwear wise a big story for AW10 is the reintroduction of the CALIFORNIA ’78. By the late 1970s, the "Jogging Boom" in the United States had spread worldwide and had quickly gained popularity in Japan. The California, released in 1978 were the centrepiece of Onitsuka Tiger's jogging shoes at the time, named in honour of the birthplace of the popular activity. As jogging in the evening became very popular, concerned with the safety of runners at night, the California was the first Onitsuka Tiger sneaker to utilize mesh and came equipped with large reflective pieces for better visibility. The new CALIFORNIA ‘78 retains the overall design elements of the original shoe, a perfect lightweight running shoe.

ISSEY MIYAKE - DESIGN LEGEND
So - the question of best designer is broad to say the least. Pleats, Patterns, Colours Vivaciousness and the all together fit of a garment are things that spring to mind when I think of my personal best designer, Japanese renound Issaye Miyake, (I know I know why pleats, - short answer no idea, let’s move on)
I'd heard much of Issaye Miyake to say the least when Fashion week came round this SS10 and the wonderfully sculptured designs of Miyake hit the runway after a short break of time away from the 'scene'.
Now I’m no fashion designer, but I need not be to have an appreciation for the way the fabrics draped across the models were oversized, sculptured amazingly and yet, fit the models so perfectly, reminiscent of Unconditionals AW09 collection with funnel necked dark palettes Miyakes style screamed the coming storm of the fashion industry for not only 2010 pieces but pieces that could become as classic as the white shirt.
My appreciation for Miyake doesn’t fall short of the garments themselves, but Miyake as a designer, born and bred in Tokyo Japan before completing a Graphic Design Degree at the Tama Art University had a dream opportunity of releasing his first collection in 64, Paris and New York. A designer with creativity and longevity is all inspiring to me - all hail Issaye Miyake, something tells me 1964 was the birth of a legend, only time will tell.
